hi, im matt welcome to my blog!

my flight leaves for Quito Ecuador, in just 10 days time.

catapulting me from my cosy life here in Ireland, into something completely different in probably just about every way. I have read and heard plenty about this South America, but still I have no idea what to expect.

one thing i can say is that i have really enjoyed this summer at home, and in my job,
it has made me appreciate the environment around me and the days that i have here, so i guess i have already benefited somewhat from the journey, in a sense it began as soon as i booked the flight on that cold day in January. Well its clammy July now and my day of departure has almost arrived, and the feeling is different now, instead of wanting to escape, i feel a sense of attachment to my surroundings, and another feeling creeping up inside me, a kind of a long lasting anxiety im not used to.
