im actually not sure what the commentator meant with the word "barrilete". i have found two meanings for it. apparently its an argentinian word for "kite" and it also means a short or stubby person. anyway lets go with kite.






la boca
tody i visited the neighbourhood of "la boca" which is situated on the mouth of the river. hence the name. (boca = mouth). this neighbourhood is full of color. originally home to those who worked on the boats, it became so colorful because these workers used to take boat paint home to paint their galvanised houses. its also home to the football stadium of "la boca football team. for which maradona played. i dont want to be false and pretend that this place is still authentic, really what was once a real neighbourhood has now become a place of gift shops, restaurants and tango dancers posing for tourists though it is still fairly charming.
