its true that people actually go out as late as 3am in Buenos Aires and the clubs stay open until 6am at least. 2 am is a good time to go out.
i think the clubscene is certainly one of the reasons why so many young travellers like this place.
Drum & Bass on tuesdays in Bahreine, Buenos Aires
this is the wall in the backround of the picture above.
Friday night in " azucar" salsa club
its not easy to convince a european to come to a salsa club. finally i convinced a couple of guys in the hostel to come with me, i knew it had to be worth a visit here in buenos aires. and it certainly was.
there was a cuban reggaeton group in the nightclub premiering there new album so the night was switching over between reggaeton and salsa.
here one of the cuban guys does some outstanding salsa dancing with one of the girls
the cuban group also did a kind of dance lesson showing everyone the dance to each song on the album.
interesting how boy girl ratio varies depending on music...
Saturday night warehous party.
alas...it was just too hard for me to convince anyone to come to a good tango club i had heard about. so rather than going alone i decided to go with the tides and tag along with about 30 people from the hostel to this place. it was a kind of techno party in a building that resembled a church.
for once, i actually have managed to upload some videos. though they seem to have come out a little dark after compression, hope you can see them.
Salsa
by the dancing standards in the club maybe these two salseros are fairly average. but wow anyway.
drum & bass
in contrast to the salsa, drum bass dancing is more like flopping around the place like a possesed zombie. highly recommended.
