Bolivia: Copacabana

the border crossing from Peru to Bolivia was fairly straight forward.
time to get used to new money again.

first stop is Copacabana, bolivias beach resort. of course bolivia has no coast, these are the shores of lake titicaca.
( ...and yes there is another copacabana in brazil)

arrival was smooth, i found a hotel with the best view in copacabana i guess, cost me 10 dollars for a room which is probably high for bolivia but its very nice.

i seemed to arrive just in time for some kind of military parade

gulp !

view from my hotel room

there was a wedding celebration going on on the beach

people-watching in copacabana:

copa is a nice place but apart from a few bars and restaurants run by the hippie straglers from places like colombia or uruguay there isnt much nightlife here though a few friends and i did make the most of it.
time to move on however and see what else bolivia has to offer...
