losing stuff

if i had a penny for everytime i met a traveller who had lost somthing i would be set to travel for the rest of my life, for a while i though i was going to escape this fate but i confess that after 6 months on the road i finally got lax and lost an mp3 player and camera and many fotos.

helping paola move house yesterday reminded me how i well ive done this year in detaching myself from the over rated value we tend to give to the various junk we accumulate in our lives , but i cannot deny that that old trusty black canon SD750 was the one last possesion i had grown truely fond of. i had carried it with me every day for the last 6 months. she asked me if she could borrow it one night for a party and unfirtunatly she left it behind her and the next day we went over to the house and somehow it was not there.
maybe someone took it maybe not... who can know? but , as with the mp3 , there was no time to wait around for it to show up.
i aslo left my mp3 player behind in a hostel in santiago which i was storing photos on it. the staff say they know nothing about it.

but on the bright side, the best of the best photos are right here on the blog and my new snazzy canon SD1100 is more or less the same but has image stabilisation (and a clean lens!). just the thing for a visit to torres del paine national park.

so, bad run of luck in tierra del fuego but its not the end of the world! pardon the pun.
